I think it's very effective as a marketing tool as it has got people talking and that's actually is the whole point of this ad concept. Well, as long as the pilots aren't getting distracted, what's the problem?

Yes, a definite rise due to the publicity they are getting. Would be interesting to see the actual rise in customers of their service as opposed to people just looking after seeing articles / posts on the ad (like me).

Kind of traffic they are getting is gold. This traffic is genuine and genuine traffic always has some sort of conversion associated with it. no matter how bad your website hosting looks or how worst it may be designed by genuine traffic is always Gold.

I hate to copy theme of someone else. We need to be smart enough to find another way to get similar output. Maybe you wont get success this time if you copy these theme.

I understand where you are coming from but I can think of many occassions in life where someone has "copied" someone else and profited greatly from it.

For example, TV Shows. The Pop Idol" format was turned into "The X Factor" - you can't help but see the similarities. American Idol has also come from Pop Idol. Then more recently Britains Got Talent & Americas Got Talent follow the same kind of theme as from X Factor with it being a talent show.

So there are some examples of copying that prove very popular but I agree you have to try and add your own "twist" to it - which of course is what I would do if I ever used this idea! I would need a lot more money first though I think! .

This is not first time that such ads appeared on grassland toward incoming flight path.. Lynx deodorant was another example that appeared in 2005, it’s more likely seems to me like a conventional method for outdoor advertisement. You just do everything legally after getting prior permission from concerned authority.

There we go - so it has been done in the past - adapted to the new persons / website hostings needs and it has been a great success again! Theres the proof!
