Anyone has experience in buying or selling stuffs from Alibaba.com? Is that targeted for China market only?

There are many "dodgy" characters on alibaba.

A lot of them are geared up to copy genuine items such as clothing and hardware. Many will send you samples of items for you to examine with a view to you ordering in bulk. Some will even copy right down to the last detail, an item that you send them that you want counterfited again, with a view to you buying and importing in bulk.

I know this because my mate is a private investigator specialising in intellectual property and commercial copyright theft and has used alibaba for hundreds of cases on a regular basis.

Its not a web site hosting that can be compared to the likes of eBay and other online auction sites.

Its really geared up for bulk purchasing rather than individual items.

Indeed. I've had issues with ebay recently. They locked my account but can't tell me why as it might allow other hackers to know how they protect themselves... It's fair enough but when they can't tell me if it's something I did or something else, it puts me in a bit of an awkward position...

Thanks for that review, I hope eBay is better then unless I go for wholesale order especially something for china items.
