I am a student and I was wondering what kind of stuff I could do online for a little extra money. I understand things like ebay would probably be the most profitable, but what else would there be to do? Thanks in advanced.

Yes, investing in and selling products or services on your own website hosting is quite profitable if you manage to get it up and running. Why not have a go at that? - you might become and budding entrepreneur who makes his first million after a few years - you never know if you don't try

Yes, you can make money in affiliate marketing. Many people do and some people make a living from their affiliate marketing earnings.

There is a lot of very good information in internet about how to get started as well as things you shouldn't do. It will just take some time for you to do some reading, but it is very much worth the time it will take.

Na, few billion - now we're talking cash

Anyway, very soon I plan to start a domain registration service (I will be a reseller of DirectI) . But they require initial deposits - I will be making a $499 initial funding. This is a good idea also to get some profits as a student but they require first-time cash but you could get a profit out of it. Let's say the slab price was $6.99 and you sold the domain for $10.00 you'll get a $3.01 profit.

But what to sell on eBay? I think you can hardly make some beer money through eBay. Best to join any call center of your area or one of the easiest way to go for blogging, learn online marketing and monetize your blog to earn revenue through it.

Most people go to eBay for a bargain so I agree it isn't a good way to get profits from. I think earning revenue from website hostings is an effective way, and many Webmasters do this today

I don't find any specific reason the website hosting will be closed down if you are going to adhere sound principle in terms of designing and Search Engine Optimization aspects and making everything coherent to it.

Yes Ben that may well be that eBay might not be that profitable but from what your doing before you even open for business you are £250 further in debt than you were. And as a student at University you need to concentrate on your studies as well so you don't have all the time in the world to make profit through a website hosting as this requires a lot of time and effort if not money as well!!

And as far as eBay not being profitable - tell that to the people that earn a living off it!!!. Case closed

I prefer to make a website hosting with some rich content in it and sign up for google adsense. You do not have to do any thing after that. You will be starting to get money. Simple and easy!

Yes, but unfortunately this won't make a great deal of money and is prone to problems with accounts getting suspended.

By far selling products or services is the most effective way of making money on the Internet.

Not necessarily - many small companies have made a good profit from the Internet and if you sell a unique product or service it is even easier.

Google Adwords makes pennies for most people and the rules are strict and getting suspended is all to easy - the only website hostings that would make loads of money from Google Adwords are ones with thousands upon thousands of unique visitors which is a lot harder to achieve than marketing your own product or service.

No it is not such easy, adsense need powerful punch, so you will need to monetize your website hosting for adsense to get high targeted traffic otherwise what is the use of rich content?

Plus you would need a lot of visitors to even make just a modest amount of money

Why you people are criticizing adsense , I don't know . There are many more publisher around the world they are making some big money from adsense . As I am also making money for my study and living from adsense . Adsense pays more than other networks PPC or other program so they have strict rule and we have to follow it . One thing Selling product is much difficult task for beginners like us , As you are telling so easily sell the product to earn .
