Default Email marketing

Does it seems good idea to send newsletter or marketing email from different domain name rather than using the main domain name?

It depends on which domain you are trying to promote .

On a serious note though, it doesn't seem too convincing to me sending promotional mails about your main website hosting through another domain. As always most of the people consider email marketing as spam, add to that if some of them do manage to read your newsletter, it doesn't send out a positive message to the reader about your company.

Anyways that's just my opinion, I would like to see what others have to say about this.

I do agree with Peter. Unless you are sending the NewsLetters to subscribers it is not at all a good idea
regardless sending it through main domain name or by using other domain name.

As I previously mentioned in other threads, Email marketing doesnt work for every product. One should not think for email marketing for anything other than online pharmacy products like ******, Phentermine, ....

First thing I do when I get such emails in my inbox is to mark them spam and train spamassassin to block such emails in future. You can end up your established business if you opt for spamming.

Well, but if you are sending email to your subscriber or readers after taking their prior permission I dont think it can be considered as spam, most of the newsletters are originated through permission based email marketing system. By using seperate domain name I here mean that it will release the load. Anyway my planning is to generate competitive advantage for following focusing 90% to our existing customers;
* Special Offers
* Invitations
* Staying In Touch

Although I would say there are some people who take disadvantage of these kind of permissions. End result of this goes in cutting down the subscribers. Overdoing is not good at all. Once in a month, and also 2-3 paragraphs can be tolerable. What do you think?

Asperger syndrome, some of the person with Asperger's are really good at stuff like that. I should know coz I am one of them. Another possibility is most of the time people with it are loyal because they don't see the point in lying or manipulating things, not because they're particularly more loyal than other people.

It took me some time to understand what an Asperger syndrome is. For those who don't know here is the explanation...
Quote:
Asperger Syndrome: Persons with AS show marked deficiencies in social skills, have difficulties with transitions or changes and prefer sameness. They often have obsessive routines and may be preoccupied with a particular subject of interest. They have a great deal of difficulty reading nonverbal cues (body language) and very often the individual with AS has difficulty determining proper body space.
I don't think that anybody can gurantee these kind of people.

Alex, That's one part of Asperger, most of the sign of nerds, check out this, in reality they are nerds;

Historical figures including Socrates, Charles Darwin, and Andy Warhol probably had a form of autism, says a leading specialist.

Professor Michael Fitzgerald, of Dublin's Trinity College believes they showed signs of Asperger's syndrome. Read this news; http:// news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/3380569.stm

The best thing to do is to contact a professional. They will offer you free advice as they have done so for me.

I ended up using the advertisement link removed from the email center.
