Email newsletters

I know that this subject has been touched on many times before but I was wondering if I could get some ideas. My boss has his heart set on an email marketing campaign of putting out a monthly newsletter. I know that people are getting mixed results with this so I thought that an opt-in list would be a good way to avoid the whole spamming thing. I was hoping that someone might have some ideas or suggestions on how to get a list going. Also iv been doing some testing using mass emailing programs and I keep getting put into the "junk mail" section any ideas on how to avoid this?

When you send emails to more than 1000 members using opt-in lists then at least 1 - 2 people will complain to spamcop and other RBL's.

I hate spammers and th moment we suspend account of customers responsible for spamcop complaints. We work hard to maintain a clean network and if we ever get any xyz spam complaint or any other genuine spam complaints then the only option that we find is to suspend account of the customer responsible for spamming.

Spamming problem occurs on new servers which are active in billing system for new signups. Old servers are clean from weeds.

I am not sure how successful your Boss would be with the newsletter but you can consider our web hosting plans only if you think that you will be sending genuine newsletters.
