Google Finance Improving

Hey Guys ,

finance.google.com/finance, Google Finance is improving itself by adding new features . Probably they are aiming at positioning the tool as a stronger competitor to the more widely visited http:// finance.yahoo.com/ Yahoo! Finance website hosting, which offers a wide range of financial resources and services to its users.

Currently, Yahoo Finance is at the top for keyword "finance" in all 3 major search engines.

These new improved features of google finance will attract more users and prevent them from going somewhere else. But there are few changes which should be looked upon seriously because there are very few amount of users coming to this finance portals who are not very computer savvy. I think these heavy use of flash may lose users.

If you are in hurry and are looking for a quick scan or brief overview of stock quotes using Google Finance is a better option than Yahoo, as it simply takes a lot of time to load all the information. When it comes to relevant and accurate information Yahoo Finance still has an upper hand over Google. If Google works on the accuracy of the information it provides, it will be easy for it to beat Yahoo Finance.

value of each google share in U.S stock market is above $500 and it is most valuable share among other USA IT companies.

The share price surge raised Google's market value to $154 billion by the end of November 2006. Not sure how much time they need to become No. 1 in US stock market. Microsoft has been left behind long time back and future development of microsoft raises many questions in my mind.

They don't have developers who can write better algorithm for MSN search nor do you see any major improvements in windows OS.

Hopefully Gentoo, Ubuntu, CentOS, Fedora, etc., can grow to a level where we will be in a position to migrate our data from windows

In my opinion Google finance portal need regular tweakiing & they should launch some good plan and easy interface to attract investors from elderly people as most of these people are not very computer savvy. On other hand most of the teenagers are not that kind of people looking for investment.

This is not the case now a days . Finance sector is not limited upto oldies . And Yahoo Finance is also not much attractive , still they are on TOP . Google Finance has to improve its data and relevancy fast .

Are you talking about the "Finance Services" offered by Yahoo [google was nowhere in the services, just entered] or talking about financial status of Yahoo and google?

I think the news is about SERVICES.

I am talking about investors not banking.. also the teenage period usully considered between childhood and full adulthood.
