I haven't wizzed through the posts so I don't know if this suggestion has already been posted.

If you haven't got a good ranking in a specific search engine - getting a better ranking may increase visitors. Thus more visitors may equal more profit. This may not make sense however the more visitors you get, the more chances they will click your ads.

I see what you mean but its a bit of a Catch 22. For a better ranking you need for visitors, for more visitors you need a better ranking!!

Initially you will need to get more traffic by advertising on some big website hostings. You will need to find out who would advertise your website hosting on their main page and send more visitors on your website hosting.

Then it should balance out and then hopefully you should go into profit. Its the same for new businesses starting in the real world.

Very good point there. Search Engine Optimization methods do help. Many Webmasters submit their website hostings to directories which increases ranking and then better ranking will as you said, increase in visitor flow. And don't forget, better Page Ranking equals better profits (advertisers).

I know, the hardest part is getting the page ranking! How much is anyone going to charge me to get my website hosting first on google, yahoo and all the major search engines?

Even the best Search Engine Optimization workers in the world find it extremely difficult to get website hostings up amoungst the top and it can costs 1000s.

I would suggest to slowly build up traffic via link exchanges which will increase rankings its hard to get a website hosting popular and doesnt happen over night unless you are extremely lucky.

Thanks for the link exchanges idea. Oh I am willing to put a lot of time and effort into it and wait for a bit of success. I think I waited about 3 months for my first visitor .

I use affiliate programs and affiliate networks including cpa networks. I also use some CPM ad website hostings as I prefer to earn per CPM rather than a fixed amount for my ad space.

Yea that's correct you have to speculate to accumulate, that is the reason you should not through money in the beginning unless you've very unique product or service as it may go waste, the paid advertising works once you get good exposure of your website hosting implementing other free method already that you've within your reach.
