Default PPC or Search Engine Optimization?

Hello,

We just got our new website hosting through real estate web website hosting design and now we have to choose between organic Search Engine Optimization and PPC. I have been recommended by a lot of people to do both at the same time to get the best results. Any suggestions on this arena from experienced realtors will be helpful.

Thank you

its not worth to loose money on PPC programs unless you have expertise in that field. even Search Engine Optimization is not an easy task as you will need to find right company to take care of SEO of your website hosting.

You do not have to choose between, you could do both, but as Mark said avoid PPC its a waste of money. Concentrate your efforts on Search Engine Optimization.

I would not call PPC a waste of money. PPC is a great way to quickly get visitors to your website hosting. If you have something new that you need to promote fast and you have an advertising budget then PPC is great. It must be popular or Google would not be making money from it and Big companies would not be using it.

Search Engine Optimization is definitely a better option as it does drive more traffic to our website hosting if you appear in the top 10 of a search result

In short, PPC is a great short term goal to get you noticed while you are waiting for your Search Engine Optimization to take shape, SEO is a better long term goal which if done correctly will give you high traffic.

Finally, PPC and Search Engine Optimization are only half of the work, you need to make sure your website hosting offers something to interest your visitor and make then want to sign-up/purchase or whatever your aim is.

Thats my thoughts anyway.

Search Engine Optimization require lot of effort but a good SEO work today will give you stability and pay off long term. However you can go for SEO + PPC = SEM ( Search Engine Marketing ) but you should not minus SEO from your marketing strategy.
