Websites that allow free advertising for small companies

Hi, Has any one come across any website hostings that allow free advertising for small companies. So far the only decent one i have found is gumtree.com.

Im currently advertising through google adwords but this is getting very costly and i would like to keep cost to a minium.

Any ideas of free or cheap advertising online/offline i would be happy to hear them.

Have you submitted your website hosting to all the relevant directories, such as Yahoo etc which can help quite a lot with advertising. Grab any advertising space you can as long as they are not obscene or offensive website hostings as it will all help to improve your standing and advertising.

Hi, thank you for the feed back. Ive added my links in quite a few directories. I was wondering if any one had any really good website hostings that are free to add.

1. Try Directory like Dmoz, yahoo etc
2. Create an articles
3. Create a blog, blogger is free
4. Submit to search engine free
5. Submit to social bookmarks like del.icio.us, diggs etc free

Many website hostings may also add your link in exchange for a very small fee or a reciprocal link on your website hosting - you may even find people on this forum .

Concentrate more on building organic traffic to your website hosting. Directory submissions, blog entries, forums, article submissions, rss feeds and press releases - they all are pretty good ways to start promoting your website hosting.
