Default Add-on domains

Hi there,

Some of my add-on domains are appearing in google using the main account domain name.

e.g. search on google for 'Broadford walks' and you'll find my Walks in 'The Red Hills, Broadford, Elgol and Raasay - Skye walks' page indexed on walkhighlands.co.uk/skyewalk.co.uk/broadford.shtml instead of on
skyewalk.co.uk/broadford.shtml

Is there anyway I can set up redirects to redirect every file request of a 'core account/addondomain.co.uk' folder to addondomain.co.uk?

Otherwise I'm being penalised for duplicate content.

Regards

Are you simply using the domain as a pointer to the exact the same pages as your normal website hosting? If yes IMO you need to setup a 301 redirect to the normal domain.

Hi there,

No it's not a pointer. The skyewalk.co.uk domain is supposed to be seperate, so what I want to do is prevent anyone seeing the walkhighlands.co.uk/skyewalk.co.uk versions of the pages; or preferably to redirect them from the walkhighlands.co.uk/skyewalk.co.uk version of each page to the skyewalk.co.uk version.

Preferably using cpanel.

I think you can go for that and try to set redirects and fix any potential dup content problem especially if you can not change content & update it with adding new keywords of one of the website hosting that seems identical.

Whatever I do, I can't get pages at:
walkhighlands.co.uk/skyewalk.co.uk
to redirect anywhere, let alone to skyewalk.co.uk.

All my other redirects work.

Help anyone?

Well, I have redirected the http://walkhighlands.co.uk/skyewalk.co.uk to http://www.skyewalk.co.uk/

If you have any further issue then please update the support ticket you have opened for this.

Matthew,
