Keyword Placing
Can someone with experience in Search Engine Optimization help me out here with this question.
Can you list, in order, sorting by importance, from most to least relevant the following thing:
what is the most important place to put a keyword?
Title, domain, heading, content.
Thanks.

Actually all of these factors are equally important. But, out of the priorities mentioned by you Title,Content, domain and then heading is the sequence as per importance.
Keywords are most important in Page title and ofcourse the keyword density is important in the content.

I guess Title is the king of all for keywords. But how about the domain name, have you noticed that when you do a search Google highlights domain names on the results if they contain your searched phrase?

Yes, it is obvious that we Google indexes the domain name, if it suits the searched keyword. I think the ratio of indexing domain name is more than indexing a title.

I guess it's combination of all those methods that will make you a better search ranking result, plus you have to beat the competition for those keywords.

Off all the places (Title, domain, heading, content.), I would say keyword in page title is the most important aspect and one should include the main keywords in page title.

Yes, I agree totally! For example, page with PR3 with keyword in the title will be ranked much higher in search results than PR3 page without the keyword in the title.

Sometimes, you will find that you have some pages in your website with the same keyword in the title. If this is the case then you can loose rankings for the webpage which is the most important
For example, if you have 3-4 webpages with the same keyword in the title i.e. Dedicated servers then the search engine spiders will get confused as to which one is the original and the most important webpage and due to this the most important page out of the 3-4 webpages, will loose its rankings and one of the other pages which are not very important will gain rankings
To avoid this problem you can keep different keywords in the title to the other webpages and give keyword 'Dedicated server' in the title of the main webpage Due to this the rankings of the main webpage will be higher than the other other pages which are not so important

Honestly I wasn't aware of that. Could that be true? I don't think Google engine is that easy to confuse. If it ranks some other page than your intended one that means that you are not doing a good job with intended page. You should analyze better ranked pages and try to improve intended page.

Is it possible to switch the places up in order to test out what works for each type of site? Does that even matter say if you have a niche website?

Instead you should analyze the potential searches of your niche and do competitive analysis to find what work best, this will help you to find "potential keywords".

You can easily place your keywords in your site's content but its hard to find the same domain like your keyword if you get the same domain then it will be best for you. At 2nd number i would prefer to have keywords in the title of your site.

Yes, keywords in the title is incredibly important, I also add few important phrase there and that's giving some interesting results because keywords phrase #1 when combined with phrase #2 both together semantically form a new keyword phrase.
