Default Quality deep links – paid directories

hi everybody

my name is rourkey.

I recently paid 25 dollars to submit to a directory, i put in what seemed like 6 quality deep links with various keywords to the relevant pages.

Does anyone think its worth paying for these links as against just submitting to free directories and just getting a link to the home page.

would appreciate any feedback

Rourkey

Rourkey, welcome to the board, I would suggest to submit your website hosting manually to free directories to relevant categories with enough keyword rich information rather than paying someone for submission. There are ton of good free directories already available, you may find some of them even having good Page rank. Overall getting listed in directories are just one step of Search Engine Optimization process, however you need to follow other factors as well to get good SERP.

There are thousands of free directories where you can submit your website hosting and get quality one way links, so I don't think it's absolutely necessary to pay for submissions to get links however Yahoo Directory is a paid directory and listing in Yahoo Directory is highly beneficial.

@rourkey - you can submit the website hosting in almost all the free directories even if you find the Page Ranking not so attractive because sooner or later the PR of that directory would go up and that will be eventually beneficial to your website hosting.
Don’t go for the paid submissions unless you find some of them highly beneficial and worthy.

Free directories are definately good but ones with deep link options are even better! Deep link submission are an excellent method for building internal page rank not just index page Page Ranking.

I don't think most of the directories accept deep link submission, btw the niche directories have higher relevance that offer a way to build links to your website hosting that could give you significant results.

Quite a lot are starting to accept deep link submissions as its a good selling point. Also the popular phpLD script has recently had a deep link mod created for it which is spearheading the use of deep links in directory submissions.

I normally go for free directories. Though it gets some to approve, there are quality directories, that approve quickly.
