Default Is website hosting submission to Yahoo Directory worth the fee?

The fee is $299 per annum for a website hosting submission. Are there benefits worth $299 involved with website hosting listing in Yahoo Directory?

These fees are recurring and even no guarantee for inclusion, also consider to read Yahoo policy concerning for paid submissions. Alternatively consider DMOZ, Zeal, Jayde, BlueFind etc for free submission.

Its not worth to spend that much amount of money for directory submissions. Instead you can submit to 20 free web directories which gives you more backlinks compared to just one paid directory. Well there are lot of free directories available on web. Try those

If you can afford to pay the submission fee then I would say go for it as there are considerable amount of benefits involved with a Yahoo Directory listing like

Link from an authority website hosting that Google trusts.
Chances of better ranking in Yahoo search.
Direct Traffic from the listing.
Collateral benefit in other website hostings using the Yahoo directory resources.

I defiantly agree that the yahoo directory isn't worth the money. the problem with some of the free directory website hostings however is that the back links they give you do nothing for your se ranking.

Make sure website hosting is unique. make sure website hosting is up and running. Do not submit website hosting that needs to be redone because it does not work correct or has no content.

basicaly make sure website hosting works good all links are good and you have unique website hosting. meta tags should be done and keywords for website hosting not over done. No keyword stuffing. No hidden text or links that are same color as background.

Same thing google tells you so follow what they say in webmaster guide.

Wow, that is seriously too much! I mean, you can get a lot more stuff with that money! For a search engine submission, forget it! It's not worth it if the price is that high!

You may go for it if you are serious with your listings on Yahoo as it will definitely get you website hosting up in their listings as well as you will have a good amount of traffic to your website hosting. As its mentioned that there is an anual fee so you may check how it works for you and later you can decide whether to renew it or not.
If you are just going on for a backlink from Yahoo then I guess that amount is not worth it.
