Default What is the best Search Engine Optimization tactics for the subpages of the site?

I doing Search Engine Optimization for a large site (20+ pages). What are the best practices in regards to the sub-pages of the site? Should I put keywords for sub-pages, and if yes how similar can they be to my home page keywords? What about description and page title, how long should those be and how similar to the home page? Is there anything else that can be done for Search Engine Optimization optimization?

Some keywords appear often, some are rare so for better distribution of keywords you should use variation in keywords throughout your sub pages such as you can use adjective/plural keyword and long tail keywords.

Is there a website you'd recommend that'll have all info on this subject? Thanks!

Since the sub page is really just a variation of the main page, it would make sense to make the sub page keywords a variation of the main page keywords also.

Yes, it will also help you to simulate natural link building process, you should also organize the internal linking structure pointing 50-60% to your main page,
and the rest on subpages/internal page with relevant keyword phrases.

In order to have effective page optimization you should provide good description, keyword and title on your website. And more keywords is much better but make sure that it is still related on your website.

There is no difference between home page Search Engine Optimization and subpage Search Engine Optimization apply the same Search Engine Optimization tactics whisch you are using for your home page just for your help i would suggest you to follow these steps

* Onpage optimization

* Update Title, Description and Keywords should be different for each page.

* Directory Submissions

* Link Exchange

* Article Submissions

* Social bookmarking submissions

* Press release submissions

These are all the ways to get good position in search engines
