feedback on web design

This is a personal website hosting i made pretty much about my self and my pregnancy. Im looking for some feed back on the layout design and set up.

I also created the webpage for my towns Fire Department, my step dad is a member of the department, so they gave me the job lol. So i would also like some feed back on what you think about that website hosting.

Here's my review for your website hosting rawzlynd.lovez.it:-

1. Background of the website hosting is beautiful but the bule background of the message boxes makes the test unreadable.
2. You have beautiful collection of pictures but those should have been in a photogallery and images should have been of good resolution. If you install a coppermine photogallery then you will get huge success to that gallery with the kind of pictures you have.

Review for bracebridgefire.com/ :-

1. Once again you have very good background picture for this website hosting but blue doesnt go with the frame.
2. Text color hasnt been chosen properly and text inside the frame is overlaping which is not at all good. Google may sandbox your website hosting if you dont sort overlapping text problem.

I like the layout a lot. The background, and the content... looks awesome. I don't think the links fit in though. Maybe try a shade of green and lose the text-decoration.You can improve it better. It’s structure somewhat resembles as if it was designed by designers at *link removed*, but there designs are quiet search engine friendly . Any way it’s still o.k. Keep up the good work.

I think you should maintain the balance of your color usage by harmonizing the brightness of blue color and background color, you could have also used red color somewhere in your website hosting as it seems symbolic to your website hosting subject.

Well, The website hosting navigation is very poor. We are unable to find the other pages of website hosting. Also the dark blue colour on the home page makes it look very dark. The colours of the texts should be changed IMO.

For bracebridgefire.com - Im afraid the layout and nav bar links appear broken (not as they should appear) in Firefox. I cannot see any navigation bar links as they are the same colour as the background, and also the heading falls behind the text within your main content area.

I do however like the way that you have separated your navigation links out into sections with different headings. This makes for much easier navigation, much better than having one big list.

I definately agree with Paul's suggestion about using red in the website hosting colours as it represents your subject matter.
