Google's First Server

While snooping around I found this link to this photo of google's first server. This is how they began, to me it looks pretty jumbled up and very confusing. But you know in life things doesn't always start out as a sucess but look at them now, the very best search engine in the world. Just imagine moving from this server, that is worth maybe a couple thousands, and now I would imagined they are on much better servers with hundreds of computers, if not thousands, and their servers are worth Millions, and the company is worth Billions. How awesome moving from thousands to Billions of dollars, I hope I can do that some day.

The Google book which recently came out said that Larry & Sergey actually made a printer out of Lego blocks!!!

I've got that Google book - a very interesting read - I can recommend it!

I'm amazed that thing actually worked. Looks like a relic from the Cold War lol .

450,000 servers, 4 petabytes appx. these are calculated estimates.
They are building a $600 million datacentre in Lenoir, NC, USA.

Wow!! That is a lot of servers!! I knew it would be a lot but am surprised it is that many!
