Yep. It does look like a website hosting of a creative webmaster but make sure that you get it completed soon. Most of the times webmasters fail to complete their website hostings as they deal with designing and development of customers website hostings all the time and they keep on ignoring pending work of their own website hosting.

Very nice website hosting, it seems to project your business in a positive way, even though it's not been completed yet. I agree with Mark, make sure you get it completed soon, as I'm sure that when it's been completed it will make for a very successful + positive business. I like the layout + design, though I would suggest that you style the links, as the 'browser default' blue, purple + red colour scheme for links is a bit bland, in my opinion.

Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated. I have some time scheduled in for the end of the month so I will be looking at it again then.

The design is good but seems something is missing there on top of the content and illustration part.

From the looks of it your background is probably more programming based than design based, am i right? If thats the case you really need to emphasise your programming work and definately get a proper contact form integrated.

Also look at making your markup valid and ensuring your website hosting and future portfolio conform to the uk legal DDA regulations.

Best of luck.

Thanks Paul & Sabian1982, your comments are valid and appreciated.

Yes, I will admit I am more of a programmer then a designer, but I dont want to turn jobs away that only need design, most of the businesses I have dealt with so far only want the design, but have a few in the pipeline that want an eCommerce solution so once that is released I will modify my website hosting to push my programming skills

My current portfolio are website hostings that I have taken over the maintenance of, I will be adding a new one in a couple of days which I have designed from scratch, that is no excuse for my own website hosting though, I know

Any good resource's or books on the DDA regulations you would recommend.

Thanks Again

If you'd be at all interested im Nottingham based and more of a designer than a programmer, so if you'd be at all interested in perhaps some sort of freelance/design/share thingy drop me a pm!

I can't think of any books off the top of my head. Check out http://www.silktide.com/about-us/new...tes-stay-legal for a bit of an overview on DDA. Theres also information on it on the w3 website hosting if i remember rightly.

A bit bland might be true but that also means that it has a relatively clean or 'corporate' look about it, which should appeal to the target client. I think that you should congratulate yourself with the work you've done so far, given that you have other things on the go. We all know how difficult it can be to find the time to develop our website hostings - I've got parked domains I bought decades (well, ok, not DECADES) ago, still kicking around without any sort of meat on them.

However, of far graver concern is the fact that you've put something out there advertising your business which is potential harmful to that business. I'm sure that it's just because you were rushing, and I know that it's time-consuming to check, but your website hosting is littered with grammatical and spelling errors. Corporate clients aren't impressed when the website hosting of a company that hopes to design visitors' website hostings is let down by a lack of attention to detail.

"Well," they'd say. "If they show such little attention to detail to their own website hosting, what will they do to a website hosting that isn't theirs?"

For example, on your 'Why M&M Web Design' page:

Here at M&M Web Design (Nottingham), we pride ourselves on being able to provide the right solution to fit our customers needs. We do not sell pre-packaged products which you have to fit your business into. We design bespoke solutions, tailor made to suit your needs. If that is not enough to convince you then check below for some more pratical reasons.

Better:

Here at M&M Web Design (Nottingham), we pride ourselves on being able to provide the right solution to fit our customers' needs. I'm not trying to tear you apart and I think you've done a great programming job (and general design as well, for my money) but you just need to brush up on your copywriting skills. To a fickle bastard like me (and there's plenty of us about), the difference between getting a job and a competitor stealing it can be as little as a couple of spelling errors on your website hosting.

Any mistakes in this posting are because I am a) not bidding for business (but feel free to PM me if you want some copy written or reworked), and b) obviously a bloody hypocrite, so please: no-one need bother to point out my errors.

Thanks Avatari, I have only just got round to reading your response due to my free time (I know that excuse is getting old already). Don't worry about tearing my website hosting apart, I would not have posted if I did not want honest opinions.

Definitely take your point on the "grammatical and spelling errors". As you may see from my previous posts (and this one) it has never been my strong point Luckily, my clients are responsible for their own content

I do know a copywriter so I will ask them to give my website hosting the once over.

Thanks Again

P.S. I feel very self conscious about posting now, I feel like this is going to be graded

P.P.S. I hope you don't mind me steeling your paragraph to replace the one on my website hosting

Hi Morledge,

I know all about free time being tight, hehe, so don't worry. Don't feel self-conscious, please: we're not at school now - it's only your website hosting I was 'marking', not your posts!

And yes, please feel free to use my correction - glad to have been of help.

Sincerely, I think you've got a promising website hosting there -good luck with it!
