Hi, here are a few comments:
- Like the layout
- Its easy to read
- Easy to find what you're looking for
- These might seem really basic but they're important and so many people (including professionals) ignore them. (e.g
http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/ - there are various sections scattered about the place in not-to-good an order). On your
website hosting you have a single focus point for a user to scan through the list and select the one they want.
Suggestions:
1) I suggest having the background of the text a different colour with the left and right margins remaing white. It will bring the user's attention straight to the action in the middle of the screen.
2) Not sure if that is comic sans font, but I would suggest a different font. Perhaps use it for the headings, but for the main text have something a little more traditional to make it nicer for users to read the content areas of your pages.
3) There are two lines under the main banner. The second one that doesn't quite stretch across the page seems a little redundant if you ask me.
4) On the menu links, I would not change the colour of the text as you hover over the link. Instead, I would change the background colour of the cell to a slightly different colour to the background for a subtle effect.
5) Most browsers have google integrated into them so I would vanquish the google search box. It means the main header of your front page would be closer to the top of the screen which I think would improve the flow.
6) Also, the ads at the bottom of the screen are listed one below each other. A user won't take in all these ads and will probably scan through right to the end. If you are paid on a per ad-vew basis I would squeeze them all together nice and tightly. If you are paid on a per hit basis I would suggest analysing your average vistor profile and choosing one or two ads that you think might appeal to them. They are more likely to pay attention to an ad if it isn't stuck in the middle of 5 others.
Hope these are all constructive.
