Default Adding a new domain to package

ok, i have... NO idea if this is the right place for asking this but here goes anyway.

I ordered the bronze package dealeo (£30 for the year or whatever) and originally tried to apply my old domain with it.

two problems, 1: 1and1 are gits and wouldn't give me the info needed to transfer (atleast not without lots of digging i can't be hassled with) it was running out soon anyway so i decided to just order a new domain instead.

problem 2: After waiting what seemed like forever for the domain to finally get registered, now... i don't know how to apply it to the bronze package >>. I know its probably something insanely simple. But i just can't figure it out.

If anyone is able to tell me how then please for the love of god, PLEASE do. I'm not sure if this is more a domain or package side question though. Which is why i popped it in here.

I have replaced your .com domain with the .co.uk domain you have ordered. Your website hosting is online with .co.uk domain and you can check your domain from control panel as well.

Login details for cpanel control panel have been sent in welcome email so please use IP based control panel login URL to login in your cpanel account. Please feel free to contact our livechat support team or helpdesk staff from http://support.eukhost.com

Glad you got it sorted - some registrars do seem to get a bit evasive when you want to move unfortunately .

1and1, Fasthosts and 123-reg sell domains without any profit as they manage to get one hosting account every 10 domain customers but they don't want to give service to their hosting customers and they simply expect most of them to stay with them just due to the control panel interface.

Worst thing about this people is that they cant even spend for cpanel license for their servers and they use outdated version of custom built control panel designed by some offshore team. Those deceived customers keep on making investigations for days before considering any other host as they loose their confidence on webhosts and even we suffer due to such setback given to genuine customers.

Ah right, that is interesting to know. I knew about the fact that they required to sell a ratio of hosting accounts compared to domains but didn't know about the control panel thing. No wonder they are unhelpful when just trying to get a domain and transfer it away.

cPanel licensing cost for 1000 servers will be $25k per month so they wont like to pay that big amount

You can get a new control panel designed for less than $10k - $15k so its not worth to pay for cpanel as per their calculations

I just moved away from 1&1. I found the following link invaluable:
h t t p s : / / contract.oneandone.co.uk

(I had to mess the link up, since this is my first post and you have to have 5 posts before posting a URL)

Basically, login with your account number and password, you can then cancel the whole package or individual domains (being careful to select "transfer" of course). You set the IPS tag yourself, so no need to talk to anyone.

Regards,

Mark
