Angry EUKHOST ads where my custom error pages used to be.

Can I just ask how all of a sudden my custom 404 error page that I had, has been replaced with a 404 that is an advertisement for EUKHOST?
That's a bit sneaky isn't it? Especially since I just PAID up this week for another year.....

Hello,

I didn't see any customize 404 page under your account due to which you see our default 404 page which we have set on our shared hosting servers . If you want to override server side error pages then you will have to configure your customize error page via Cpanel >> Advanced >> Error pages >>then Click one of the common error pages which you want to edit .

400(Bad request)
401(Authorization required)
403(Forbidden)
404(Not found)
500(Internal server error)

Let me know if you want any help to configure it ?

..which is the point I was making. I used to have a custom 404 and 403 page bit for some reason the 404 page that I had turned on its own into an ad for eukhost. Afterwards I clicked on the custom 404 link in the control panel to see if my version still exists but only the new ad based template loaded. What's up with the ads anyway? Am I not paying for hosting?

These were added on my server too, obviously as a reseller - i dont want clients seeing how much I pay for a server so try to "white label" as much as possible.

I have been across all account and removed the 404 pages which appeared a week or so ago on the server across all my accounts.

Rob.

Hi Robert,

These changes were made on the Shared Hosting servers only. I am not sure how your reseller account is hosted on one of our shared servers. You can upload your custom error pages and those will override server side 404 error pages.

If you want, I can ask someone to upload default 404 error pages in all your cpanel accounts.

We had to upload custom 404 error pages on all our shared servers to control growth of the error_logs file. Apache error logs files were reaching their limit of 2GB on some of our servers which resulted in downtime for http service.

Hiya Mark,

No problem i can understand the reasoning for it - I will upload custom 404 pages to all my client accounts. 2GB logs are never clever!

Cheers
Rob.
