Trust me, if you want reliable hosting, pay for it. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
I remember Xeeblo, good ol' days. And yeah I have got to say, free web hosting has gone too far on "AMAZING 1000GB BANDWIDTH" offers. If you are a serious webmaster, get paid web hosting.

Today marks the 3 month anniversary since cabspace went off line. Below are some
of the ridiculous (adjective
causing or worthy of ridicule or derision; absurd; preposterous; laughable )
posts from cabspace moderators. Instead of admitting they had a problem and that
they were closing, they instead kept posting on forum website hostings that they were
coming back. Below are some of their more memorable posts from various sources
found on the internet.

http://www.free-webhosts.com/reviews/CabSpace.php
CabSpace
Our free web hosting review is no longer available for this previously listed
free website hosting host.
This web host was removed from our database, possibly (usually) because it is
no
longer a free or operating service, or is not accepting new users at this
time,
but could have been removed for other reason(s). If any of the user ratings
and
reviews of users were saved, they will be listed below.

Cabspace is still there we are just updateing are servers.

Cabspace will be down for the next day our so as we are updating are servers.

We put cabspace back on-line for 2 days for users to get the webpages but if
you don't like what cabspaces
do's
they are a lot more free host out there. Not as good as cabspace but there still

The HD crashed, and before the RAID could create a new copy, the RAID ate
itself. We have been 3 weeks recreating a copy of the data. It is completed, but
during the time our system administrator took a different job and we have no way
to bring the service back online. We are attempting to train on a new sysadmin,
but it is a slow and steady process.

We provided you with a completely free service. We have had a very unfortunate
string of bad luck on the service, and are still actively trying to get it back
online. As soon as we can, we will get it back online providing web services
again. Until then, we are trying to catch up on our existing backlog of
service.

So cabspace will be back bit it will take time. Yes that was a huge pain in the
neck! Also yesterday we blew a couple critical drives, however, this time we
were able to rebuilt the array with minimal downtime. We have some growing
pains, but we're matching each challenge with proactive solutions that should
permanently improve the quality of our service. Thanks for sticking with us thru
this rather shakey period of extreme growth. Look for exciting news and improved
features shortly!

Thanks,
Jay

Cabspace - ( cabspace staff )
Cabspace will be back up in the next week or so we hope this will stop all the
bitching we see on this forum and others. We would like to thank the mods and
the admins of this forum for controlling most of cabspace users that could not
get over the problems we had. I will repost when we are back up and running and
in order. Hope this helps most of your users and cabspace users.Sorry we did not
post on the cabspace user name we have. But the old system administrator is the
only one that has the password.
Topic close thank you.

your website hosting should be there to with your web website hosting how it was after the date loss.

If it was out of business there would be no servers to support other thing that
cabspace do. I have to say one thing here if you don't have and think
constructive to say then do say any thing at all.

We had several short periods of downtime when we were migrating our data over to
a larger storage system. This was not planned downtime. We have revised our
future plans to include failover connections should these types of problems
occur again during upgrades.

Hope everything is working great for you now!

Thanks,
Admin

Well as i own 10% of cabspace with amk i don't think that will happen. And i
do have my own url yhelp.co.uk and you should look at the terms and conditions

Hello,

We are pleased that our most recent round of software upgrades this weekend
has dramatically improved the performance of Cabspace. We are working now to
acquire
additional hardware and network capabilities to allow us to scale our capacity
ahead of member growth. We expect hardware upgrades to be completed over the
next
3-4 days.
So in 3-4 days Cabspace will have improved server and more space and features

CabSpace currently offers free web hosting and free forum hosting. We are
developing additional features and a paid hosting area (CabSpace Pro), and we
need to bring the overall quality of the website hosting up a couple notches. We are
looking for a simple, professional, and yet fun logo that we can use for the
CabSpace and CabSpace Pro website hostings.

Make your life easier and go with paid hosting!!

I suppose CabSpace just goes to show one of the problems of free hosting. The only free hosting that seems to survive is those which don't offer many features and offer low disk space and bandwidth usage and no or little advanced features.

My suggestion is better avoid free hosting.Instead, you can find many hosts very cheap and reliable. It's waste of time to search for a free host.

if you can find a reasonable free space like awardspace - then its useful for testing website hostings etc, so as not to use up precious paid-for bandwidth. But if you wish to host a respectable live website hosting then I agree that 'free' space is a waste of time and effort as you simply can't guarantee uptime/availability - and for the sake of £10 or £15 or so per year - why not pay for it?

Plus as free webhosting is normally slow and doesn't offer a lot of features this reputation gets transferred to your own website hosting and a bad reputation is hard to get rid of - especially for a business!

If you are looking for a cheap and reliable host, ****.com could be a better option. This is the only host I am comfortable with.

A number of users have reported this post due to its nature of posting links to other web hosts, and I do think that this is unfair for eUKhost because of it being a hosting company.
