As requested, I have submitted a ticket for support this time (#ORX-87975-981), but I just wanted to flag up here that linux webmail seems just as flakey as the Windows version, unfortunately.
you cannot compare webmail service with yahoomail or gmail frontend. horde and squirrelmail are freely available webmail packages which cannot be compared with gmail or yahoo frontend.
I am quite sure that you might be traveling with a laptop so you should consider outlook. webmail is always slow as it eats up MySQL Server resources.
