Default How wrong was I

Since buying my first chunk of the net from EUKhost I have always commenting positively to others on customer service - with some of my website hostings problems have arose, that probably shouldn't have, but as soon as they were brought to light people started acting on them, and most were resolved within an hour, or at least I knew were I stood.

Today however has been nothing but a shambles and it has tainted my opinion of this hosting company.

I awake this morning to find one of my website hostings has been taken offline due my bandwidth running out, totally acceptable, and I bought more bandwidth to do me, this was sorted in the manner described above, excellently.

About an hour or two after my website hosting was back online, I notice that it is back offline, this time the page saying my account has been suspended.

Confused, I phone your helpdesk to try and get immediate clarification of what is going on, after being kept on hold for over 5 minutes (I wasn't counting, but I noticed) I was told that I would have to purchase either VPS Hosting or dedicated hosting, when I ask why - I was told that my website hosting was sending too many hits to the server.

When I asked how many is too many, I wasn't able to get an answer.

When I asked were does it state that a website hosting can only have so much usage on the plan I am on, I wasn't able to get an answer.

I then emailed support asking them to quantify everything, because you understand if I have broken a rule or ran out of "something" then I am totally fine with everything and I will certain consider upgrading, but it just seemed a bit odd that I had sent too much, when they couldn't tell me how much was too much.

So I sent the email, explaining the situation and basically asking for clarification and to see if I had any other options.

The email I got in return could not have been more generic - almost every question I asked was ignored and the only thing it clarified was to repeat exactly what I had written in the email.

Totally unprofessional and completely disheartening.

Our System Administrators don't suspend any website hostings untill and unless it becomes necessary to keep the servers up and running. Your website hosting was using more than 20% of the CPU resources and thats beyond the limit as 3 such website hostings would kill the server.

I have requested our technical staff to keep a watch on what part of your website hosting is overloading and accordingly we can find a solution.

It is impossible for us to get professional when servers are overloaded by someone. Getting professional with 1 customer will make us loose other 100 customers.

I understand the reasoning behind it, but I was just told that I was using too many resources without any sort of clarification, which is a pretty damn infuriating position to be in.

Recently I changed the way the webpage works - so there should be less strain on its resources as from yesterday.

Can you just confirm if this is something that was monitored for a long period of time, or was it just a one off surge that caused it?

I would really appreciate some feedback as I am loosing customers and money as a result of this.

I personally tried to reduce load on firefly couple of times but I had to quit in between as it was your website hosting. This was happening from long time but today I didn't see anything wrong with the server and your website hosting was out of the top 5 website hostings using maximum resources of server.

It seems that your changes have worked and server seems to be perfect now.

I just deleted my cache and tried on a machine that has never opened that address - still happening.

Just to confirm which website hosting are you talking about? (I have a few!!!)

The front page is now loading, some images appear to be missing and I can't access anything but the home page.

I also cannot access email or ftp.
