Main Domain Name missing in file structure

My first post and possibly a daft one at that as the answer is probably a simple one.

When i first purchased a hosting package from EUKHOST, I gave the usual info including a domain name and paid.

Hosting was duly set up but I have not started to design yet. I have since added two sub domains.

I am trying my luck at Dreamweaver which has its own FTP. I have successfully linked to my two sub domains but am unable to link to the domain name I registered with. It says it cannot find it. In fact when I look in file manager, its not visible to me.

Do I have to create a sub domain of the original domain name that I registered with, for it to become visible and linked.

Hi Chris,

You will need to upload webpages and the main index page of your domain westland************.co.uk inside public_html directory. You have uploaded contents of your addon domain inside public_html/domain.co.uk/ which is right. You simply need to upload content of the main domain name directly inside public_html

I tried to upload a page via dreamweaver. When I tested the link, it couldn't find westland********.co.uk in the public_html directory. The reason I could find the others is because they have directories under public_html.
When I try to upload, it say the folder westland******.co.uk does not exist or it is a permissions issue.

I was trying to load the index file when I should have loaded the folder........

Futher afternote....
Having uploaded the index.html page which now sits under the main domain directory, I still see an index list:

* cgi-bin/
* images/
* junior******.co.uk/
* postinfo.html
* westland*******.co.uk/
* westlandtr*******.co.uk/

Does it take some time for the index page i uploaded to become visible on the net...

notice that the list you see doesn't include index.html - are you sure you uploaded it to the right place?

Hi Chris,

There's no need to create a separate directory for your main domain name. I have deleted the directory which you had created and moved the holding page inside public_html.

Please check where your index.html page is right now and upload all other pages in same directory.

So any file or folder I create for my main domain should be uploaded directly into public_html folder and not a sub folder......
