Default Not A Happy Person!

Well what can i say i didn’t think i would be making this post after a year of very good service from yous

All has went down hill ,

I had a web package and domain with yous that had ran out so needed to pay, didn’t have the funds at that time as i just spend allot of money getting the web site hosting re designed and a new forum done upgrade to VB so i phoned and emailed and spoke to people on live chat and all was happy till a few weeks ago when i tried to make payment!

You no longer have a package with us it was cancelled? Err ok after all the running about ect i was told my account would be put on hold and nothing would be cancelled

Well how bloody wrong was i there!!! So now i have no website , no members? i had over 1000 members!! i have lost everything!

Now i need to start a fresh! and for one i dont think i will be taking a package out with yous again as i really wouldn't like this to happen again.

Our Billing System is fully automated and there's no way we can disable automation. We send invoices 15 days prior to renewal and we give grace period of 15 days before terminating non-paid accounts. This whole process is fully automated and only thing that can be done manually is to restore your account from one of our backup servers.

Backup is left on backup server only for 1 week after your account gets terminated and if you fail to contact us within 1 week then there's nothing much that can be done from our end.

I'm not sure how you could manage to pay for redesign of your website while our Copper plan is as cheap as a domain name.

On having manually checked your account, I found out that your invoice was due for January. This is April 01st today. The invoice for the year 2008 was deleted on 24th March. That is the reason the account was canceled.

With having my own design and hosting business, I side with eUK on this. You can't really expect a hosting company to give you 4 months free hosting. BT (or any other utility company!) wouldn't give you 4 months free line rental because you couldn't pay, they'd just cut you off...

Have you heard of backups? If you knew you would be putting the account on hold for several months a backup to your PC would have been very sensible - then when you could afford to re-activate your account you could just restore the backup.
Result=a happy person

For reference here's a related topic from back on 20th Feb...
gold package + payment over due

EDIT:
I note in this thread was said...
