I think so. It shouldn't be required for you to have more than this though. Normally 1 or 2 is sufficient .

You've lost me?
If you mean where are the blocklists then 2 examples are SpamCops blacklist and SpamHaus blacklist. If you google them both you'll get the direct links .

Hmmm. If the content of these e-mails looks like spam, such as swearing, porn and other typical spam subjects it can get flagged up. Or if there is something quesitonable about the source IP of the e-mail. Or recent abuse. Or your SpamAssassin score could be set too high. There could be many reasons for this.
You could, like you have done, whitelist the email addresses or relax the spam settings if they are too high and lots of legitmate email is getting blocked.
Hope that helps .

Admitedly, they were all genuine only had a link to an image,
They did have no subjects though.
How do I lower the spam setting?

Change the "Spam Score" option in Spam Assassin. I have mine set at 5 and while it lets some spam through ive not once had genuine e-mail stopped.
Having no subject won't have helped the score but with that alone is should have still got through. Maybe it was also penalised for hotlinking to an image? (was it hotlinked?).

Hi David,
Please set your spamassassin to rewrite subject of spams with "*****SPAM*****" and send those to your inbox. Don't let it reject the emails directly.
This setting helps when you get very low volume of spams. If you get too many spams then you will need to adjust spamassassin score accordingly.

This is what I also do at the moment.
I get quite a few hundred spam e-mails a day but I also set up my e-mail client to redirect any marked "*******SPAM********" to a seperate spam folder so that I can deal with the non-spam e-mails and then just double check the spam folder every now and then to check that there are no genuine emails in there then delete them (as well as report them to SpamCop!).
