What does it mean when someone wants to transfer a domain, and you ask that the tag be pointed to ENOM? Is there any connection to eNom Inc?

I ask because 1&1 have somehow transferred a domain of mine to eNom.com and I'm wondering if something got confused when I transferred another domain to eukhost.

ps Any hints on getting the domain back? I've never had any contact with eNom Inc before.

eNom are a domain registrar and we use them for our domain registrations.

"A registrar is a business that has the ability to register domain names on the behalf of anyone interested in obtaining a domain name. Registrars must accredited by Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers(ICANN) and may only be allowed to register certain top level domain names. The registrar must maintain domain name record information about each domain name and manage registration, expiration, re-registration, and NIC fee collection processes."

Basically changing the tag to enom means that enom can now handle your domain therefore you would be using there registrar services. With us we simply handle the enom management for you if required.

I know it's not your problem, but can you suggest how I get the domain back? I've had no previous contact with eNom and haven't paid them anything.

Provide me with details. Your domain will be in our account once you let me know details and from there you can control it as per your wish.

If it's anything like me Mark, it'll just be sheer volume of mail! In the space of one hour this morning, I got 20 emails in one account alone.... I have another 8 accounts on the go!

Thank you Mark. As I said in my email reply, that is beyond good support

The website hosting is for my Mum. We've had the address for years but she's had to wait until more of her age group got computers. She's going to go on a web page creation course and then another course to understand the html behind it all. Her local gardening club have asked her to create their website hosting.

As you can tell I'm proud of her - she's a block off the ol' chip

Fathers hate to learn from their Son's but thats reverse in case of Mothers and the reason she has shown interest in learning completely new things in old age must be due to your support

I completely agree with you about mums and dads. My dad doesn't even know how to switch a computer on whereas my mum emails, uses the internet, does word processing and even updates a website hosting (fair enough, I designed it!).
