My website hosting was down for at least 24 hours yesterday it is up today but data has been lost. I run a business and this is not good enough. Is the data irrecoverable? What can you do so that this doesnt happen again and do I get compensation?

Please take a look at that thread. We have mentioned in the thread that post 18th November 2006 data has been lost.
