Default Web Hosting issue-Honest answer is all i want!

Hi all ,

i have a problem ,

ive been having trouble with one of my domains of which most of the staff should now be aware of. the domain is swap141.com. im not here to moan i just want answers.

this is the third day of this ongoing problem and no matter who i speak to on livechat or via the countless tickets ive sent i just dont get any real answers ive been constantly told that you need more time to resolve the issue. i dont expect an instanct fix but 3 days is pushing it a bit.

all i want is to know what the problem actuall is and when it will actually be fixed as there is nothing more annoying then being to on day two that it is fixed only to find that it is actually worse.

if it helps the ticket number is id#246 though i have been told earlier that there is now no record of this ticket and then suddenly that its all fine and that they just, yes you've guessed it, need more time!

i might sound rude, but im just annoyed at how long this is taking to resolve and the inability to give me any answers when i ask.

Best Regards

Eddy

Hello Ed,

You are opening tickets from hosting controller which is not the place to open tickets. Our helpdesk is located at http://support.eukhost.com and we mention this in the welcome email.

There's no way for us to disable the helpdesk inside hostingcontroller. As of now I have requested one of our system admins to sort out your problem but please remember to open tickets from http://support.eukhost.com only.

Default back to the original problem im afraid!

i almost got my hopes up when you said it was fixed, but im afraid we are back where we started i originaly was able to set up private folders but was then unable to access them even though the username and passowrd were correct. then someone at your end had a go at fixing it but this then stopped me from being able to set up the folders all together.

now i am back at square one as i can set up folders but now it will not let me access them again

an example of this is i have just set up a test if you go to my domain the username is ed and the password is qwerty but you will get this error page

IISPassword
The page cannot be displayed
There is a problem with the page youare trying to reach and it cannot be displayed. It is most likely that configuration files for this url are corrupted.

Open the home page, and then look for links to the information you want.

HTTP Error 500
IISPassword for Internet Information Services

dont know what to say really i can see that you are all trying hard to fix this problem but i feel like we are going round in circles

have also updated ticket on this (the right way this time)

HostingController Developers are looking into this problem. We are waiting for an update from them.

One of our windows system admins will update your ticket as soon as we get a reply from them.

Default oh dear still not working!

its now monday,

recieved an email from admin support to inform me that all was well and it was ready to go... one problem... yes you've guessed it... still not working!

things are just getting silly now, what can you do other than laugh.

i understand as much as anyone that problems occur and that they are not always easy to be fixed but given the number of techs and developers that are supposed to have been working on this problem and the result?

was told that it would deffinately be sorted for monday and that i would not need to contact them again regarding this matter. so what do i find myself doing on monday?
posting on the forum and opening yet more tickets!

your staff are helpful and there is no reason to complain about that part of the service, but its just not good enough!

Technical guys from HostingController applied some temporary fix which breaks when you try to modify password for any of the protected directories. There seems to be no solution for what you are looking for and the only solution would be to move your account on plesk server.

We will setup a new account for you on Plesk server and you will need to upload your data on it. As of now I don't see any fix for this problem for at least next 15 - 30 days as I have talked to one of the management members in hostingcontroller and they mentioned that this solution will be included in next update of HC7.

Hello Eddy,

I apologize for this inconvenience and you lost almost 1 week due to this problem but we were expecting some quick fix from hostingcontroller. As of now sorting this problem using php scripts would be easier but I'll keep you updated when new patch is released by hostingcontroller.
