Hey folks,

I want to start making a few pennies to put towards server costs etc...

I have been looking at reselling hosting accounts for a while now, but never felt that confident to do so, but i believe its got to be worth a try.

How many on here do it? Is it a pain to do or can it be pretty straight forward.

I have a domain i can use but its nothing to do with webhosting really. Is it worth getting a recognisable domain?

Just need a few pointers really, all suggestions are welcome.

I have a reseller account (thinking of upgarding to VPS Hosting - see elsewhere in the forum). I only use it for sites that I have built the website hosting for or for people I know. That said it is very easy to manage - the users get cpanel access and that can do most anything they are likely to want. My advice - go for it

WHM and cPanel do make it really easy to set up and administer resold accounts, plus the customer gets access to cPanel which makes them feel warm and fuzzy I find!

The downside to reselling hosting; you have to provide support. This has the potential to be a real time-sink - depending on the customer, of course. Although I believe eUKHost have some sort of 3rd party reseller support thingy going on (Free End User Support for Resellers !!!)

Even with the support it's not a terrible idea, at my old work place we more than covered the cost of 3 VPS Hosting' by reselling the hosting.

We make it quite simple for anyone to become a reseller. There's no harm in upgrading to a reseller plan as you will get 24x7 support for any sort of questions you may have. if you don't get support then you know where to complain

Haha... Well i dont want to upgrade to reseller as i have a VPS Hosting but i want to start utilising it. Will look into this futher over the coming weeks.

Yes, I would advise you going for it. The benefits (especially the money) far outweigh the negatives

I started eUKhost off from a small reseller package years ago. Now look at eukhost....

my advice is to go for it for sure you never know

It is very inspiring to see that eUKhost started off from a reseller package and has grown into something huge and successful. Congratulations to you all - I'm sure it took many hours of work and blood, sweat and tears to get eUKhost to where it is today.

It has all definitely been worth it in the end for you I'm sure

. And as well its good for us otherwise our sites wouldn't be up and running as well as they are now if eUKhost hadn't started off!

With Reseller Hosting you don't need to have a lot of technical knowledge. Account management and Internet skills are the basic requirements. We offer Free End User support to clients of our resellers and also maintain all the hardware and software. So providing basic support and leaving the more technical issues to our support staff can be easily achieved.
