Website Hosting Problems

Must admit to being a little annoyed, first of all I have to spen all day in hospital after going to A & E with a swollen foot and come out with a diagnosis of gout. Then I thought I would try and access my web website hosting only to find it is no long accessable, instead I get a page which bears info about Control Panel and then re directs me to your home page.

I rang 0800 number to be told they couldn't give me an idea when it would be accessable again as they were up dating software.

I have looked in the netwrok satus and can't say I can see anything that backs this up, why could we have been notified in some way. Now my website hosting which was gaining populatity as a football news website hosting will drop off again.

Right now we have some Apache configuration problem with one of our server and senior system admins have returned to office to fix this problem. Your website hosting should be working in next few minutes.

Its a complicated problem with Apache server and other techs were not able to fix it.

My website hosting (www. let-it-direct.com) was off for several hours this afternoon because the server was being upgraded.

It has now been reinstated however to make things worse the add-on domain that I have on this website hosting has been cleared off (same problem as described in previous post). Cpanel does not let me recreate the add-on because the website hosting already exists. This has been going on for over 4 hours now.

I have had my website hosting switched off too many times and for long periods because of technical problems. This is the second time since the beginning of the year. Reliability is certainly not the 99.9% claimed.

Tutor.eukhost.com had problem with Addmodules, LoadModules and other configuration settings in Apache at 4 PM 1st Feb 2007.

All problems were sorted before the end of day and some website hostings were running for some time and some had downtime due to this problem.

This had occurred due to Cpanel updates and the problem was quite tricky. We have successfully cleared all errors and apache configuration is back to what it was before occurrence of this problem.

Main website hosting and add-on are now working , however I cannot access cpanel anymore. I am redirected to the main page of my website hosting.

Let me know your main domain name. There should not be any problem for cpanel login as nothing was changed in user configurations or cpanel login configuration. I need to know your domain name to check if something's wrong with it.

We had restarted apache with some missing security modules and that was not safe. We made it work as there were too many chats and tickets but we had to add those modules again as security of our servers is most important for us and any kind of injection or attack can make huge problems for us.

Last night our senior system admins started recompiling apache with the missing security modules and that resulted in some downtime but eventually all necessary security settings were successfully added.
