What do you look for in a web hosting company?

Hello,

Many organizations and individuals look for different alternatives when choosing a web host. I know many factors should be taken in account but what are the 2 main objectives you want to see from a web hosting company.

My personal opinion:
1> Reliability

2> How quickly support is provided.

When I was looking for hosting (and eventaully chose you), the following were very important to me:

Reliability - our business is our website
Support - should anything go wrong, need to speak to someone 24/7/365
Cost - budget isnt exactly huge so lots of features at a great price is very attractive
Server Hardware - no point having a website if its slow
Datacentre - UK DC's seem much faster than the US
Backup - the daily backup service is excellent, means I can be sure my data is safe

So really, I took all of those factors into account and for me, eUKHost came out on top.

It is amazing to see what variety people are choosing now a days.

When I first set about looking for hosting 8 years ago my main concern was simply friendly dedicated support to myself so i could address issues myself in the future. But then obviously it is rare you find that from a hosting company so thats when eUKhost began

I think our main priority is Reliability, and second is good support with fast solution times.

Both of these we have found with eUKhost.

Although we do not have unlimited funds, We do not mind the price if the service is good.

Reliability is my number one highest priority. I don't want to get calls from customers saying their site is down or crawling along (then subsequently loosing them as a customer) and from a personal point of view I want my hobby sites to be working well at all times so I don't lose members.

Second is support. Should there be a problem I want it sorted ASAP. I don't want to submit an email, hope they've got it, wait a few hours for a reply (if any). I like to be able to get onto live chat and action be taken.

Third is speed. I hate websites that crawl along and vary madly in speed.

Four is value for money. I like a good quality service for my money. I've tried more expensive hosts and I've been with cheaper ones. The price alone isn't the major factor but I do expect the hosting company to provide the service they advertise.

Overall, reliability of the hosting and support are my main two priorities.
