Default Why is this ? DNS Problems.

Afternoon all,

I would like to hear from others if they are facing the same problem.

Randomly I will not be able to access some of the domains hosted on the shared reseller server.

I am able to view them behind a proxy or a website that conceals my IP, however I can not view then normally.

I empty the DNS Resolver Cache and the Browser Cache but still no joy.

What is the problem here, I do not beleive t's my ISP as I am being told by support as I never had this problem with my previus host?

Regards.

Support are probably right then. I'm also with Virgin and have had the same problem intermittently. A quick search of these forums would show it's quite common for Virgin customers.
As to why - no-one has managed to find out - Virgin are less than forthcoming.
My solution is to reboot my router - that usually cures it

As everybody knows, Virgin overload their servers which cause routing issues. They hide it behind a story which only technical people know the real reason, and the reason is usually lies.

I am with BT at the moment, no issues so far apart from the exchange reboot at 9:00 each night =[
