Default Cant get 1and1 domains to point to EUK hosting package

I have tried everything. I have tried editing the DNS, I have tried reading hundreds of posts and phoning up the support number. Every time I have to go through the same problem over and over and every time I get fobbed off!!

When I joined EUK host the woman told me that I would not have to pay to transfer my 11 domains from 1and1 to EUK, that I could do using the DNS settings.

Can I edit the DNS settings? Can I get a straight answer from anyone. NO. I am really fed up now.

I get a different answer from everyone.

Here is what I want to do.

I want to edit the DNS so it points to EUK hosting not 1and1

I want to be able to use my plesk reseller package with all my domains etc as I could with 1and1. I am lost

Hello,

Do you have a login for your domain registrar? If so, you could supply this information to our billing staff over ticket or chat and they will make the changes for you.

You basically need to change the name servers. If 1&1 don't allow you to do so, which they are technically not allowed to do, there should be at least an option to set an A record.

I'm going from memory here, but you can also try the below steps.

Login to your 1&1 account.
Click on "Manage Your Domains"
Select the domain you want to manage.
At the top of the list, there is a pointer next to DNS settings, click it and then click "Edit DNS Settings"
A drop down box should then appear : "My Name Server".
Read your welcome e-mail than we sent you, and enter the nameservers in the boxes shown in 1&1's panel.

Save changes and it should be done.

I have 100's of domains with 1and1 and changing the nameservers is simple and straightforward (as long as you know how i suppose!)

Shell, respond to this if you want and Ill provide step by step instructions.

Although I think Johns response is pretty accurate.
