Default Domain Name Configuration

Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times but I am struggling to understand.

My domain registration is with 1and1 (which I want to only handle my domain registration) and I have just setup a hosting account with eUKHost (which I want to handle both my hosting and email). What do I need to do in my 1and1 control panel to point the domain name to my host?

Do I change the nameserver details to the eUKHost names servers or do I just change the A records to the IP address I have been provided?

Also do I need to do anything with MX addresses?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Jeff

Just use the nameserver details EUK gave you - leave everything else alone

If you change the nameserver info, that will take care of the mx, A records and IP addresses as it will then take them from your eUK server.
