Well, I find people saying it will have direct competition to .com, but I don't think it can beat .com

I don't think it will be direct competition to .com. I don't think anything will ever be strong enough to challenge that but I do think that there will be some interesting and high value domains that can be gained from the .gwTLD

Yea that seems most appropriate for bush since .gw will be abbreviated for him like this- "global war".

Hehe, As I have said I don't believe it has any chance of beating .com - nor does anything else in my opinion.

Nothing will ever be better than .com . Even if you tell people yourdoman.net .us .org. .co.uk there is still plenty that will just go to the .com

Yes, the default behavouir - especially with non technical people is to append .com to everything. This is why its essential to get the .com name as well as any other local or different TLDs you get to save you losing potential business and visitors.

For those who have never heard of Guinea-Bissau, The Republic of Guinea-Bissau is a country on the Atlantic coast of western Africa.
