Default Have you idea about Domain Registration

Does it true that few domain registrars are making money in sort of pay per click advertising as soon as the domain expires or the grace period times are lowered ?

Yes even I have heard that many registrars have been holding domains after they expire sit on it with advertisements on the page for a few days to see if it has traffic and if it makes them money. If it does then they keep the domain.

Yeah, also AOL's next plan to give opportunities to the people to have their own Web websites at those domains as well, however those personal websites will be the part of the social networking service.

I've seen a few of our clients websites fall into that trap. One of the hosts even refused to let our client buy their own domain back.

Its the fault of the clients, but the hosts are just as bad.

Thats like the old freenetname scam.

Give you a free domain with a rearlly lousy web hosting package ( no cgi or anything ) then when you decide to move it they asked you to couth up £75-£100 for the domain.
