That's good news but not for everybody. Yet another feather added to Google's Hat.
Slowly and steadily Google is spreading all over the Internet.
It's not too far when Google will be the single point of contact for most of the services related to the internet.
Good Job,Keep It Up.

Google’s entry in domain registration market can be considered as an competitive step against yahoo,

Yahoo already have its feet in this registration industry :

Google can easily compete with Yahoo as the later does not have a very good reputation in the domain name community.
Yahoo domains have faced a lot of criticism due to its auto renew policy.
No doubt that they offer a great price for domains but it is not without a cost. While purchasing a domain name with yahoo you automatically are on an auto renew after you sign the agreement.
Normally a registrar sends an expire notice in 60 and 30 days. Yahoo doesn't do this. If you registered 10 domains in one day, you are going to be charged $99.90 in a year for your renewals. No notice, just auto renew.

I do not personally favor Google or Yahoo!
As I was aware of Yahoo domains I thought of sharing it over here.If you are really interested in knowing any top secrets regarding Google, I think Matt Cutts would be the right person.
Cheers!

Google is far better than yahoo and google is the richest IT company as of now.

I know many ecommerce websites paying close to 20% of their income to google for adwords. Google adwords has been the biggest success in online industry and I don't think yahoo can ever get close to google adwords.

I guess there is no such thing as ‘top secret’ in that piece of information provided by Dave as it well known to people regarding that issue.

Also I feel that Google capturing all the possible internet based business is not such a good thing as it is eating up other’s share too which will someday make a monopolistic market in the internet world for Google and then may be all of us have to act according to Google’s rules and regulations which is certainly not a good idea. I think where ever there is competition there is a fear of loosing a customer which makes the other competitor a better business person/firm/organization which in return is better for the customers and that’s one reason I would really not like G to be all over the net in the future.

Exactly Rich, As Jack said, "Google will", but I think Google is trying to capture, not captured yet. You might have heard about the University of Alabama at Birmingham, is developing "previewseek", is still in the beta version right now but seems to be the upcoming competitor for all the search engines. You don't how many others are there on the horizon...!
