Big Step !! from ICANN

It will help curb menace like DNS redirection, domain hijacking and cache poisoning.

Not sure but the registrar may start charging some differential price to the customers because VeriSign will have to pay the full costs for DNSSEC deployment and it's also going to increase DNS admin responsibilities. Anyway this is really a big step from ICANN, hopefully couple of other domains might be on their radar.
