Hi there,

Absolute newbie to reseller hosting and I'm struggling to see where I can register new domains in my WHM area?

Great service so far though - mega impressive...

Thanks,

Martin.

Hello Martin,

You wish to register domains or simply add them in the control Panel ?

You will need to register domain separately from our website as it won't be possible for you to register them through WHM. Here's the link :- Domain Search - Find Available Domain Names!

Ah thanks for that - that was my overall assumption but just wanted to check. Someone mentioned Enon - not sure what that is!

I guess its just a case of adjusting the DNS after that.

Thanks a bunch,

Martin.

Hi Martin,

ENOM is our domain registrar, where we register the domain names. And once you register the domain name with us, you will be provided with a domain control panel so you may easily alter the DNS and other setting.

After you register the domain name, you can add the domain name on your hosting plan through the control panel provided and host the domain name on your hosting plan

It's pretty simple to register the domain name and signup for a specific hosting plan with the same host.

However, it is not necessary that the domain name should be registered with the hosting provider as it is possible to host the domain name with the hosting plans of the hosting provider by updating the nameservers of the domain name

Yes, but it helped me to have one less password to remember! and somewhat hassle free experience in domain management when buying both domain and hosting from same host.

As stated above, it is not mandatory to buy a domain name from a hosting provider. It is basically a matter of choice, but it is good to have a domain account and a web hosting account with a single company. The management of both the accounts become much simpler.

Rightly said if you have domain account and hosting account with same company then it becomes very organised and easy to manage
