Transferring .co.uk domains to you
I hope I’ve posted this in the right forum. Apologies if I haven’t.
I’m at a loss and really don’t know what on earth to do about this problem. I purchased a reselling package here on 10th August and transferred the hosting of my .com website hosting and a couple of .co.uk website hostings from UKHost4U to here. I then asked UKHOst4U to change my name servers to yours (Eukhost.com) and all was well – my website hostings were online pretty much straight away.
Once I’d tested the waters I then decided to transfer my 3 remaining .co.uk website hostings over here and whilst I was at it, transfer the domain names also, so the hosting and domain names were all together here. I completed UKHOST4U’s hosting cancellation forms and also transfer forms for each domain on Monday which I sent special delivery (because UKHost4U denied receiving the previous ones). On receiving these the next day, UKHost4U took my website hostings offline and they have been offline ever since … even though I have paid for all these domain names again with you for two years.
You (Eukhost.com) have asked me to ask UKHost4U to respond to their verification email in order to get it under their control. However, UKHost4U say that is absolute nonsense, that it is your (Eukhost.com) responsibility to update the name servers now all the domain names are with you (ENOM). UKHost4U emailed me saying “.uk domain names do not have verification emails sent, when transferred they are released from one companies possession into the other companies instantly.” EUKHost, however, are still insisting that I ask UKHost4U to respond to their verification email, despite the fact I have told you repeatedly that UKHost4U refuse and have even threatened to consider my emails as spam if I ask them again.
In the meantime, my clients’ business website hostings remain offline even though I have paid for their domain names with you for 2 years.
Who is right?

If you have transferred your domains to eukhost - which would have been done by getting UKHosts4U to alter the IPSTAGs for each - then indeed you will have to change your nameservers with eukhost. Domains that have been transferred will no longer be the responsibility of UKHost4U. I would have thought that with your eukhost account there should be an administration area where you can do this yourself but I'm sure support would be happy to do it for you. Hopefully posting on this forum will get you a result quickly - as you need this resolved very soon.

Thanks for your help, Esnail!
UKHosts4U have indeed changed the IPSTAGs for each domain but I have no idea how to change the nameservers to eukhost myself. UKHost4U did that for me last time with my first 3 website hostings (before I transferred the domain names).
I have just been in my eukhost C Panel to see if there is a place where I can change the name servers myself but haven’t a clue where to start! Eukhost keep insisting that they need some verification email from UKHost4U and UKHost4U insist that that is absolute nonsense.
Now I have paid for my 2 years domain names here my website hostings are offline and no one appears to be able to help me as my previous hosting and eukhost are blaming each other.

If you go on your eukhost billing section ( www.eukhost.com/mb) under the domain sections in there, you can change the nameservers. If you can't find it, just go on 24X7 chat support and you should be able to tell them what changes to make. This is of course providing the domains have transferred correctly...

Hello JC,
Thanks for your help. I have looked in my billing section under the domain sections and there seems to be no way of editing name servers. I can’t even see any sign of name servers. I do see however, that although they have taken my money to renew each domain for 2 years, the website hostings are showing as not renewed!!
I have tried the 24/7 Chat several times and the telephone but they cannot help me with this particular issue. They simply keep saying they are waiting for transfer and the billing emails are still insisting that I contact UKHost4U for their verification email, even though WHOIS clearly shows that the domains are with them (ENOM).
Do eukhost staff ever respond to these posts in this forum?

Hello Julia,
Our Support staff replies to threads in "Technical Support" forum but threads in other forums are answered by Sales staff including me.
You should give first preference to our helpdesk which is located at http://support.eukhost.com as we have best Ticket support in hosting Industry. Our Sales team is overloaded during Business days so it takes some time for us to answer forum threads.
I have verified status of transfer of all your .co.uk domains and so far none has reached our account. I am looking into things right now and I will let you know once this has been sorted.

Hello ‘Chief Marketing Officer’ , thank you for your help.
I have got nowhere with the ticket system (emails via Billing and Support) nor Live Chat. They just ignore what I say and continue to ask for verification email from UKHost4u. Just now, however, I have finally received emails from billing (one for each .uk domain) saying “Your domain has been registered/transfered successfully. Please allow 24-72 hours for your domain name to propagate on the Internet.”
However, this should take no longer than 30 minutes as all that now needs doing is for eukhost to update the name servers to get my website hostings back online.
WHOIS clearly shows that my domains http://www.stkittsvet.co.uk and http://www.hartscoon-mainecoons.co.uk (the 2 website hostings that have been offline since Tuesday) have been transferred already to you (ENOM) on Tuesday. I just need the name servers updating.
Help very much appreciated.

If you look in your memebership panel as I suggested before, the domains should be listed there if they've been transferred ( www.eukhost.com/mb). On domain stats at the bottom of the page, click "view details". On the next screen, click on the relevant domain and then click change DNS. This will allow you to change your nameservers yourself.
It could take 24-72 hours for the change of nameservers to propogate as the information takes time to filter to all servers around the world. It usually takes less time than that though. You can always try and flush your dns on your PC to try and get the updated nameserver so you view the website hosting on the new server.

Thanks so much for helping, JC. I really appreciate any help offered.
On domain stats when I click "view details" the only linkable website hosting is my .com main domain (which my reseller package is registered under) and for this I get the error code “There was an error accessing the requested Domain.”
For the .co.uk website hostings (which are my addon domains, 2 of which are still offline) none of them are linkable except for a ? mark. All this ? link gives is WHOIS details. It doesn’t give editing powers to update name servers.
I need eukhost to change the name servers for me - I have already asked them repeatedly to do this for me.
I don’t understand “try and flush your dns on your PC to try and get the updated nameserver so you view the website hosting on the new server.” The important thing is for the two website hostings to come back online for my clients.
I am really worried because 3 of the domains are showing as expired in August 2007 even though I have received confirmation email that I paid for two-years renewal 2 days ago.

The DNS stored by computer means it keeps a little record of which server it needs to request information from for your website hosting i.e. which website hosting your server is hosted on. Now, if you change servers and the DNS is still the old one, your computer will look at the old server address, not the new one and you will keep seeing whatever is on the old server. The DNS on your computer will update within a few hours automatically however you can flush it and make it refresh. This means you can see what's actually going on now.
To do this, open command prompt in Start, Programs, Accessories and then in it, type ipconfig/flushdns. It will then get the up to date records from your ISP (providing they have update their servers etc - this is why it can take a while to propogate).
I would email/get in touch with support and say you've had the domain transfers confirmed, why can't you change them on your members account panel? Also enquire about the renewal. It may be if you renewed it after the transfer had been initiated, it hasn't registered on the system. This would be something you need to check with whoever you got to renew them as it could have been affected by the transfer.

There's your problem, you need support to make these linkable and then you can access your DNS area. Perhaps the domains need to propagate before they actually become a link? Perhaps support would know the answer to that at least lol. It's frustrating given that your website hostings have been off-line for a couple of days already - but you might have another day or so before you can change the nameservers if it's a propagation issue.

Thanks very much, Esnail. I have just been on Live Chat to Ben who is trying his best and he also got Zolin to phone me. They are very sweet and courteous BUT my website hostings are still offline.
Ben says the problem is that on WHOIS the status shows that ENOM is currently processing the domain names. I don’t understand because the ENOM tag has shown on these domains on WHOIS since Tuesday but they stress that it is still in progress. They have now placed a ticket to ENOM to register the nameservers for my domains after the transfer is complete.
Of course I still don’t understand the delay and why eukhost can’t change the nameservers themselves. They say this is impossible until they hear back from ENOM.
I really despair.

Sorry JC, I just realised I hadn't answered your post (I was tied up on Live Chat). Thank you for the instructions to “flush”. I did that but of course the website hostings are still offline.

Greetings Julia!
Just got an update from billing department that it was due to enom as they have not processed your domain's request and it was showing in processing status. Ben have asked enom for the reason of delay and the current status for your domain but till we get the reply from them we found the domain was updated to our enom records.
I see your website hosting http://stkittsvet.co.uk/ and http://hartscoon-mainecoons.co.uk/ are up now.
Cheers!!

Hello Eukjason!
Thank you soooo much! I can't tell you how grateful I am! I see http://www.stkittsvet.co.uk is now back online at least!
However, http://www.hartscoon-mainecoons.co.uk is still offline.
I did what JC suggested and flushed my system but it's still showing as offline.

Hartscoon is online for me at my end which would suggest it is a local problem at your end as opposed to a problem with the website hosting or the server it is on.

Are you seeing a cat breeder's site? All I see is a green page with the following message:
