Default Transferring Domains to EUKHost

I have about 30 domain names hosted with 1and1.co.uk. Whenever I need to change an A record on a nameserver I have a nightmare with 1and1.co.uk since their systems don't appear to act on the instruction.

I have now just about lost all faith in 1and1 so am looking for a new host. I was a bit concerned about moving everything under the one host: domain host, DNS host and web site host but I have to say EUKHost's support has always been second to none.

If I press ahead with this I do need to check a few things. I handle DNS on my web server fine, but I need to understand how easily managing my domains under EUKHost will be. For example will I be able to change A records myself, NS records, reverse DNS etc?

What user interface will be available?

Thanks,

Nigel

Hello,

When you wish to change the A records for the domain name. You can contact us and we will update the A records for the domain name. Whereas certain TLD's do not provide option to set A records such as .co.uk domain. For .co.uk domain's, you will have to set the A records from the hosting provider and update the DNS respectively to the servers nameserver. Whereas for TLD's such as .com, .net A records can be set with using default nameservers of the domain registrar.

You can surely update the DNS from the client area. In regard to update the A records, you will have to contact our billing team and they shall do it for you. For reverse DNS, you will have to contact our technical support staff.

We do have 24x7 support for your assistance and the request for the A records will be accepted as soon as possible with an update to you in the ticket. I can assure that, you will get the best support regarding all your domain name queries.

Thank you for your appreciation, we do try our best to provide you the best support, which will certainly fulfill your requirements.

Thanks for the info.

So if I transfer all of my domains to EUKHost I will not have full management capability of my domains? Only the nameservers through the EUKHost client area?

Will I be able to change the TTL? So that when I need to make a change I can ensure changes are applied quickly, when I want them to change? E.g. reducing the TTL to 10 mins for a period running up to a DNS change that affects my customers.

Also if set up a domain with glue nameservers (e.g. domain.com with nameservers ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com) will I be able to change the IP addresses on the nameserver subdomains without any problems?

Thanks,

Nigel

Hi Nigel,

eUKhost has always been providing best services & easy control over domain names. If you wish to have all the domain name registration, website hosting & dns management under one roof than that is absolutely right thinking & correct decision. At eUKhost ..... You'll always have the feel for secured hosting.

When you say that you have 30 domains to transfer then for sure you'll be looking for a Semi-dedicated or Dedicated server to host all the websites on the same server with complete management. I've answered you in points ... I hope it should answer all you queries & help you to accelerate your decision.
  1. eUKhost provides FREE eNOM Reseller accounts for all their customers having packages above Reseller Hosting, so you can have a account to have all the domain name management under your control.
  2. Additionally, you can avail all the benefits to register new domains from the same account on your own in future. This should save your cost to purchase a Domain Reseller Account from a Domain Registrar.
  3. You also access to create your Own Name Servers through the domain name reseller account.
  4. As you take a Semi-Dedicated or Dedicated Server ... you get the complete administrative rights to control your hosting accounts & services on the server. All the DNS management with full access to edit/change A records, NS records & reverse DNS.
  5. You can for sure have the access to change the TTL & the manage the DNS for your Sub-domains too.
  6. If you have SSL cert installed on any of the domains or wish to get SSL installed on any domain name .... eUKhost is always at your service 24X7 through Phone Support, Live Chat & Email.
  7. The Client area is an additional way to change the NS records of your domain names.
  • You get a private Domain Reseller Account interface to manage the registration of your domain name with access to change the A records, NS, DNS records.
  • For the Hosting Web Server Management ... If its a Linux Server than you can choose cPanel/WHM or DotNet Panel & If its a Windows Server than you get DotNet Panel.

That sounds interesting. I already have a semi-dedicated server with EUKHost. So you will provide me with a free eNom reseller account?

Follow on questions:
1. I guess this will be a retail account - can you upgrade this to a reseller API account? So that I can sell domains through my website?
2. What are the costs that are chargeable for registering domains through this eNom account? Is it an $8.50 .com account or one of the more expensive accounts promoted by eNom?
3. Do you have a price list for other domains - e.g. .co.uk domain names if I register/renew these through an eNom reseller account?
4. Can I manage my renewals through my eNom reseller account as well?
5. Can I transfer domainds through my eNom reseller account?

Either way can you send me the details of my free eNom reseller account please? My current server has an IP address of 213.175.203.188.

Regards,

Nigel

Default Welcome Back !

Greetings !

You're absolutely correct. We can provide you ENOM Reseller account.

Answer to your questions :
==================
Quote:
1. I guess this will be a retail account - can you upgrade this to a reseller API account? So that I can sell domains through my website?
This account will be a Reseller Account as per your request. As stated earlier that you can register domain names yourself & sell on your website.

Quote:
2. What are the costs that are chargeable for registering domains through this eNom account? Is it an $8.50 .com account or one of the more expensive accounts promoted by eNom?
The minimum refill amount before registration of a new domain should be $100.00 as per the primary condition of ENOM. You can refill it after the account is setup for you. The price per domain name for Top Level domains should approximately be $10.95 to $11.95 for 1year as this would be our Sub-Reseller account. Enom gives us this as the last best price to offer Sub-Reseller account to our customers.

You may later upgrade this account directly for $8.95 by contacting ENOM.

Quote:
3. Do you have a price list for other domains - e.g. .co.uk domain names if I register/renew these through an eNom reseller account?
The price for UK TLD like .co.uk, .org.uk would be approximately $19.95 to $20.95 for 2years. I'm sure you should be aware of the UK TLD registration that the basic criteria is a minimum 2 year registration.

4. Can I manage my renewals through my eNom reseller account as well?
Yes, you can manage your renewals through this account.

Quote:
5. Can I transfer domainds through my eNom reseller account?
Yes, you can process the transfer of incoming & outgoing domain names from this ENOM Reseller account.

Please rushup & contact to our Billing Department via Online Chat or Email to billing [@] eukhost.com to get this account configured for you.

Cheers !
Have a blessed & adherent success in growing your business with eUKhost.com !
