Update user bookmarks, question on expiring domain

When we moved our site over to eUKhost we brought our old domain name with us but signed up with a new one that we liked more. Both are pointing to our website.
While we have tried informing everyone of the new domain name some are still accessing the site via the old domain name.
I was wondering if it was possible to somehow notify users when they visit the site using the old domain name, to update their bookmarks to the new site and then redirect them. Don't want to lose anyone when the old domain expires!


Also is there anyway to check when a domain is due to expire? Can't see a manage domain option like our last host had. Want to make sure it is set to expire.

The simplest way to do this is to place the old domain as an add on domain on your hosting account and set its index page to a page which informs the user to update there bookmarks. Then you can use a simple bit of javascript to automatically redirect them to the new domain name, which will display your site.
