With trepidation I dip my toe into this water, hoping not to find it boiling of freezing. Nervous? I guess so – I've had previous problems with hosts large and small.

Anyway, a brief intro – I am David Tyrrell-Collins, the other half of the business is Charmaine Foreman, and we are jointly southwestuk.com. The Velocity Net logo is a result of supplying outside south west UK.

We supply web sites and software (mainly perl, php, c and c++) - much the same I guess as most people here. If you feel like picking up the virtual pen I can be pm'ed here or there's a form at d.tc

Comforting words from a Chief Marketing Officer! Thanks, it appears that there is a high degree of satisfaction from others.

Also just received an email asking for an example of our work. The last web site hosting was cosylettings.com - nearly finished. Lots of superflous ajax code to be cleaned within the css definitions and js yet.

The care offered by eUKhost is apparent in the extra facilities offered at a very reasonable price. This was also true of my previous hosts until they were sold. For example DiSoft provided superb service when Gordon and then Tony had it. Then it was bought a Boy Scout who didn't have a clue about servers and brought nearly everybodies' client sites down by doing a bulk transfer to an incompatible server whilst pulling the plug on the old one. The Boy Scout, who for the purpose of this post we shall call 'Bloody Bloory' then disconnected the help desk and refused to answer emails.

A long time prior to that I had excellent service from a friend who had I-Way in Reading. He sold to Verio - enough said.

So I guess what I am saying is that eUKhost may be excellent now, but can it remain so. If it gets too popular it will probably be sold to another company. Running a hosting company also has some very unsociable hours (I know I've done it) and after a while wives and girlfriends start to complain.

We will just have to wait and see what the future brings - I guess nobody can predict it.

Seems like you have seen real hosting world in last couple of years. I am well aware of such things and this is the only reason we never allowed any single person to take full control of eUKhost. None of us is allowed to make any other decisions besides the assigned departments. We've not even allowed our CEO to make any such decisions so buy or sale option has been completely eliminated.

eUKhost is our life and we cannot think of any other option for living without eUKhost. We move one backup of all our servers once in a month to US based backup servers and you can figure out why we do so. We've evaluated all possible problems that may come in future and we have implemented solution for every problem prior to its arrival.
