Hi - looking at several of my domains in dnsstuff they get a big red bit (indicating a problem) on the acceptance (or rather lack of) of postmaster@mydomain.com and abuse@mydomain.com
Do i need to explicitly create those email accounts in each domains cpanel or is there an overall setting i can apply that will allow acceptance of these addresses
Regards
Not sure how cpanel works, but it might be worth considering setting up an alias of these 2 email addresses to point to your own email address. You may get more spam, but a decent filter like spamassassin could sort that out.
These email addresses will surely invite alot of SPAM emails. I think one should just ignore them if they are not useful as the failure does not effect the domain in any sence.
Thanks for the replies guys - I think I am inclined to ignore it - I was just a bit worried about the red warning in dnsstuff - but as long as it doesn't affect things I'll leave well alone. As you both say - it would attract Spam.
Thanks
