Default cPanel VPS Hosting Optimised

Hi there,

Yesterday I attempted a cpanel upgrade manually, my settings being current - manual. Unfortunatley the update failed leaving me without access to WHM / cPanel and mail ceased to work. Support sorted the problem out which was due apparently to some errant configuration scripts. Cpanel now indicates that is VPS Hosting optimised (WHM 11.23.0 cPanel 11.23.1-C24844 ), I understand from previous posts that this is only available in the Edge release, not current. The performance is radically improved, memory previously always settled to about 75% now it's dropped to 55%.

My question is how will I know when the VPS Hosting Optimised version slips to Current from Edge. I still would prefer to keep my upgrade path to Current but definately don't want to roll back to before VPS Hosting optimisation.

Cheers Martyn

Hi Martyn,

You can keep a track of version updates from cPanel's main website hosting and forums.cpanel.net. They have a section on their website hosting at VPS Hosting/]cPanel - The Leading Control Panel which will be updated once cpanel VPS Hosting optimized is included in Current Build and Stable release. Only log generation process has changed in cpanel VPS Hosting optimized so there's absolutely nothing to worry about cpanel VPS Hosting optimized.

it looks like it's now current

as my VPS Hosting updated itself at around 5am to: WHM 11.23.0 cPanel 11.23.1-R24893

it looks like a huge improvement on memory usage
