Domain Registration on VPS

Hi,

I'm new to the idea of using VPS Hosting over the Internet.

Yesterday, I registered for my VPS Hosting and new domain name with eUKHost. The VPS Hosting server is ready and I have my account details.

The domain is registered now with Nominet, however do I need to go into the VPS Hosting and assign the domain to my VPS Hosting or is this done automatically?

I expect the domain will have been set up on your VPS Hosting but to be honest, I can't remember back to November when I got my first! Wasn't this made clear in your welcome email, or perhaps you didn't get it yet (although you should have done)? Check your spam filters etc.

I suggest if you have any further questions you email the address given in the footer (rather than ask here) — VPS Hosting@eukhost.com — they'll issue a ticket number and deal with you directly.

Late edit: if you want your server hostname to be associated with your domainname you'll need to ask VPS Hosting Support — by default it will be associated with the server master domain rather than yours (or at least that was true when I signed up, perhaps it's different now)!

The domain you registered with your VPS Hosting will be assigned to your account (hopefully I have understood your question!).

Propergation normally takes between 12 and 24 hours .

I have registered your private nameservers and those have been made your default nameservers in your plesk admin panel. Your website hosting will start using your private nameservers in next 2 - 4 hours.
