Thanks Sebastian
I had found those pages - now I'm trying to install it - and guess what -- I'm running into problems.
Ok so what I have done so far is:
1) Downloaded the latest version and un-tarred it on my PC
2) Coppied all the extracted files to a directory in the domain I want it to run from
3) Used Putty to logon to my VPS as root
4) Navigated (eventually!!-my unix is not good-but i got there) to the directory in that domain.
5) Tried to follow the install instructions: step 1 of the install says to run ./configure - I tried that and get 'Permission denied' - I also tried ./configure --help but got the same 'Permission denied'

HELP - what am i doing wrong

Run these commands inside the directory of the freeradius files:

chown root:root * -R

Make sure you're in the freeradius directory though, and no other.
