Default HTTP web folder access?

Hi all,

On my old shared hosting (not with EUK) I used to be able to access web folders on my account using http. I was able to go into the Windows 'Add a network place' wizard and type something like...

http://myserver.com/mysharedfolder/

I could then view the files in a normal windows file window. I can use ftp of course but I just wondered why I can't do this with my VPS Hosting account.

The error I get is "The folder you have entered does not appear to be valid".

Any ideas?

No Ideas

You will need to open a ticket for one of our Senior System admins and they will get back to you with necessary information. It must be due to security settings on our servers.

Just for reference the reason I was able to use http:// to access web folders on my previous account was simply because I had frontpage extensions installed. I have now installed these on the domain I wish to have http access to and all is well.
