Not able to access VPS websites at college. - UK Web Hosting | Dedicated Server Windows and Linux VPS Forum

Hi there, when i try to get onto my VPS Hosting at college, or my website hostings i keep getting cannot fint server...

No matter what i try to access thats related to my VPS Hosting i keep getting it.

I have tried:

(myip)/whm
imgoingin.co.uk/forums

That is the only website hosting i have at the moment.

Do you know why i cant access it at college?

Your college has got firewall which blocks coonection to ports. You cannot connect to WHM, cPanel or SSH as those ports are closed in the firewall.

I am not sure why forum wont work as you dont need any port to be opened to access forum. Try to ping your VPS Hosting from your college and also let me know the traceroute report.

Sussed the reason why, they have band certain ranged of ip's.

However i have a couple of members saying they cant get onto the forums from time to time, so i got them to do a tracert of the domain imgoingin.co.uk .

A few questions, can you recommend how many times a week i should restart the server? Would you say daily? Also what is the difference between a "Graceful server reboot" and a "Forceful system reboot" ?

He has had quite a few problems connecting over the past week or so.

The problem is with the nameserver and it is been corrected now. Your website hosting seems to be loading fine. We have checked the DNS report of your website hosting "imgoingin.co.uk" your secondary nameserver is not responding properly, also the tracert for your secondary IP 87.117.234.166 is not back to your node. So you are suggest to change your nameservers IP and contact with the support department.

Thank you for the reply, i believe i have solved the nameserver issue, will see how things go, however i will contact the support about the second IP.
